A YOUNGSTER with learning difficulties who was left 'devastated' by the theft of his mountain bike has had it returned to his home.
Christopher Armstrong, 11, from Ambleside, who suffers from autism, fell victim to a thief or thieves sometime on Sunday night or in the early hours of Saturday.
But his silver Ridgeback bike, which was stolen from the garden of his Kirkstone Close home, was found on Monday morning metres from his front door.
"We're just really glad he has it back," said dad, John Armstrong.
Anybody with information about the theft is now urged to contact officers on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
