THE perils of fighting countryside crime will be the focus of a wildlife group meeting on Friday.
PC Helen Felton, a wildlife officer with Cumbria Police, will talk to the Duddon Valley branch of the Cumbria Wildlife Trust about tackling rogue gamekeepers and ensuring protected species, like Ospreys, are free from danger.
The talk takes place in Broughton Methodist Church, in Prince’s Street, from 7.30pm. Admission is £2.50, and includes tea and coffee.
