A MAN believed to have gone missing while ascending Helvellyn has turned up safe and well.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called out at around 6pm last night after a mountain biker was reported missing by his sister.
The man, from Canada, had set out to traverse Helvellyn. However, while the team was getting ready to go out, the man turned up in Keswick.
He had descended down the west side of the mountain rather than to Glenridding, as expected.
