FOURTEEN members of Coniston Mountain Rescue Team were involved in the rescue of a man in his 60s who had slipped and fallen while walking in the Hole Rake area between Coppermines Valley and Tilberthwaite yesterday afternoon.
Team members treated the casualty for an ankle injury before stretchering him from the fell to the team’s Land Rover ambulances. He was later transferred to Furness General Hospital, Barrow, for further treatment.
