Rechargable batteries stolen from traffic lights, say police

A SET of rechargable batteries have been stolen from a set of temporary traffic lights in Holme.

Police are investigating the theft which took place sometime between 4pm on January 7 and 8am on January 8, from the lights at the Holme Mills roadworks.

The batteries are heavy, said a spokesman, and a vehicle would have been needed to remove them.

Anyone with information should ring Cumbria Police on 101.
