A STAVELEY woman has taken on an epic treadmill challenge to raise money for her cousin’s daughter who is suffering from a rare form of cancer.

Jennifer Pearson, 28, hit the treadmill at Asda in Kendal to complete a 12-hour challenge, all for three-year-old neuroblastoma victim Ruby Thompson.

The tot was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma in 2010 when she just was 11-months-old.

Jennifer said: “We are hoping to raise £20,000 for Ruby’s appeal. The money will go towards Great Ormond Street Hospital where she has received treatment, and towards Ruby’s further treatment in Germany.”

The appeal has now reached £18,296. You can still donate by visiting www.justgiving.com/ ruby-thompson .
