A SELF-employed Cumbrian squirrel ranger has returned from a six-week European trip to investigate different approaches to squirrel conservation and management.
Fran Foster visited conservation organisations, museums, universities, schools and youth groups to gain an understanding of wildlife management and the conflict between the reds and the greys.
“The main lesson to bring home is that people involved in red squirrel conservation and grey squirrel control need to openly share results,” she said.
