Councillor questions £400 spend on wall repair

First published in News

TOWN councillors in Kirkby Lonsdale have put in place a working arrangement to control spending between council meetings.

Coun Geoffrey Buswell questioned spending more than £400 on a wall repair without discussion at council.

While it was agreed that the emergency repairs could not wait until the next council meeting, councillors decided that, in future, a working group of three had to agree that such expenditure was necessary.
