AN ULVERSTON businessman is setting the wheels in motion to create a vintage cycling event in the town.
Alan Brenton, managing director of Change for Real, is the brains behind the new ‘Sportive Lakes’ project.
Set alongside the town’s traditional music festival, the event called the á l'ancienne - meaning ‘in the old way’ will be based at Ford Park House, where there will be basic camping and motor home parking, food and music.
Between July 11 and 13 there will be cycling events to accommodate everyone from the novice to the confident cyclist.
