THE Brewery Arts Centre officially launches its new Brewery Friends scheme at an event on Sunday, January 26 (4pm) in the Sugar Store Gallery, which features a talk by photographer Gillian Gilbert.
The Friends of the Brewery and Brewery Patrons have merged to form Brewery Friends, a membership scheme which supports the kendal arts centre’s broad and diverse artistic, creative and learning programmes.
The Brewery is a registered charity that generates almost 90 per cent of its income from ticket sales, commercial income and fundraising and the Brewery Friends scheme is a fantastic opportunity for members of the public to support the centre.
In return members can enjoy many benefits, including ticket offers, exclusive events, opportunities to meet the cast and crew of productions, film screenings and Brewery Friends suppers.
The launch event includes a tour of the new Sugar Store exhibition by Gillian Gilbert, an introduction by chief executive Richard Foster and an official handover by the outgoing Friends of the Brewery committee to signal the official start of the scheme.
