A SPECIAL volunteer recruitment event will be held at Ulverston Market on Thursday, January 30, from 9am to 1pm.
It is being hosted by the Cumbria Council for Voluntary Services (CVS), whose localla engagement officer Andrew Bass said: “Volunteering is a great way to develop or learn new skills, to gain experience, meet new people and make a real difference in your community.
"It can also be an opportunity for you to improve your CV or volunteer in an area you may want to work in.
“Alongside Cumbria CVS on the day you will also have a chance to talk to St Mary’s Hospice, Cumbria Fire & Rescue, Age UK and Citizens Advice Bureau to find out about the many volunteering opportunities available.”
