THE man who tragically died in a crash near Carlisle on Tuesday has been named as Daniel Ian Staples.
Mr Staples, 28, of Peel Street, Carlisle, was driving a Vauxhall Vectra when it was in collision with a milk tanker at 7.57am, on the A595 between Cardewlees and Nealhouse junction.
The driver of the tanker, a man aged 64, from Fletchertown, was uninjured.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact with the Roads Policing Unit at Cumbria Police on 101, and speak to PC Steven Wakefield.
