Volunteers needed for brand new Kendal fundraising group
11:27am Thursday 23rd January 2014 in News
MARIE Curie Cancer Care are looking for local people to join a new fundraising group in Kendal.
The group will help raise funds for the home nursing service provided in the local area, as well as Marie Curie’s major fundraising campaigns such as the Great Daffodil Appeal and Blooming Great Tea Party.
It will also promote fundraising within the local community and encourage new supporters to help the charity.
The first meeting is set to go ahead next Wednesday.
“I would be thrilled if you could join us to hear more about how you can get involved,” said Sorrell Coulson, Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie.
“Your help is very much appreciated and really does make a difference in the local community.”
The meeting will be held at Burgundy’s Wine Bar at 6.30pm.
“It’s a great way to meet new people and get involved with local activities and it’s also a lot of fun,” added Ms Coulson.
