FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire in the roof of a commercial property in Grange-over-Sands yesterday.
A fire engine from Grange and one from Kendal attended the incident in Station Yard at 6.55pm.
On arrival the crews could see the fire from outside the property and requested a further fire engine, so a fire engine from Milnthorpe and the aerial appliance with a supporting fire engine from Barrow were mobilised.
The fire crews, including four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, used one main jet and one hose reel jet to tackle the fire.
Police were requested for traffic management.
