POLICE are appealing for information after a woman in leopard-print pyjama bottoms allegedly robbed an off-licence in Kendal.

The incident occurred on Sunday when the woman made verbal threats to staff at Bargain Booze on Highgate, before making off with £80 in cash.

A 34-year-old woman has since been arrested but police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any of the incident, which occurred at around 6.30pm.

“Numerous people are believed to have been present in the shop at the time it occurred,” said a spokeswoman for the police.

“Police are keen to speak to anyone in the shop who think they have witnessed any of this incident.”

They are particularly keen to track down a young man, believed to be in his late teens or early twenties, who may have recorded part of it on his phone.

The woman is described as being of heavy build, around 5’7” tall, with long, dyed red hair.

Police said no weapon was used.

Anyone with information should contact Kendal CID on 101.
