LOCAL people wanting help and advice about energy bills are being urged to attend a series of free drop in sessions.
Cumbria Action for Sustainability is running a series of ‘Energy & Bills Advice’ sessions across South Lakeland.
MP Tim Farron has urged people to go along as they are open to everybody, though they are targeting their campaign at vulnerable people and people at risk of fuel poverty.
The sessions are being held at:
* February 10, 2pm-4pm at the John Ruskin Institute, Coniston, LA21 8DU
* February 12, 10pm-12.30pm at Ambleside Library, Kelsick Road, Ambleside, LA22 0BZ
* February 13, 10am- noon at Kendal Library, Stricklandgate, Kendal, LA9 4PY
* February 27, 10am-12.30pm at Ulverston Library, King’s Road, Ulverston LA12 0BT
Mr Farron said: “Many people who are elderly or on low incomes may not know where to turn for help and advice on keeping their homes warm. So these sessions are really welcome. I hope that anyone who needs help and advice with go along.”
