A BEEKEEPING course is to be run in Lancaster in a bid to combat a national shortage of honeybees.
Lancaster Beekeepers plan to hold a one-day introductory course on March 15, at Truckhaven Conference Centre, Carnforth, to give local people a taster of the hobby.
The course, which will cost £60 including lunch and refreshments, will be held between 9.30am and 4pm.
“This could be an ideal gift for a family member or a friend,” said a spokesman.
“Keeping bees can be fascinating, fun and frustrating, but the rewards are great with delicious honey and more.”
