PUPILS at a North Lancashire primary school got a taste of the extraordinary when they linked up with the National Space Centre.
Wilson’s Endowed CE School, at Over Kellet, joined up with the Leicester-based centre for a series of video conferences to learn more about planets, galaxies and astronauts.
This term the whole school is studying space as a special topic.
Headteacher Jo Williams said: "The children were thrilled to be able to talk to experts who work in the space industry, it has brought the whole topic to life for them.
"Our video conference facilities bring the world into our classrooms and it was a very exciting and special learning experience for all."
