JABBERWOCKY Ceramics, a new pottery based at Greenlands Farm Artisan Village in Tewitfield, is being launched with an exciting Raku firing session on Sunday.
Raku is an unusual Japanese firing technique which involves heating pots in a kiln, cooling them rapidly in sawdust, before then quenching them in water.
This gives a wonderful iridescent glaze effect to the pottery and is an exciting process for spectators.
