MORE than £3.1m worth of National Lottery funding was invested into South Lakeland last year, figures have reveal.
Of the 46 grants that went to local arts, sport, heritage and community groups, £9,717 went to Sight Advice South Lakes to buy equipment to help run outreach sessions for visually impaired people; £7,500 to Age UK South Lakeland to run ‘Keep Healthy’ days for older people and £9,943 to Bay Search and Rescue, Flookburgh, to buy new rescue equipment.
