Firefighters called to Furness blaze

FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a fire at a Furness business park early yesterday (Friday) morning.

Two engines from Barrow were called to Crooklands Business Park, on Ulverston Road, just after 8am.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire was on the ground floor of an industrial unit measuring 10m by 20m and was put out by firefighters, two wearing breathing apparatus, using a hose reel jet."
