THE NSPCC and the Lake District National Park Authority are inviting people from across Cumbria to pull on their boots for the Rydal Water Walk.

The 2.75 mile family friendly walk along the shores of Rydal Water will start at 10.30am on Thursday (Feb 20) from White Moss Lower Car Park, Ambleside.

Walkers will enjoy strolling through picturesque woodland around the shores of Rydal Lake, returning along a scenic path with stunning views of Grasmere.

There will also be the opportunity to stop at a spectacular Rydal man made cave.

Walking boots and packed lunch are recommended. Registration for adults is £1 and children under 16 go free.

Dogs are also welcome.
