WHEN THE BOAT COMES IN: Staff from Richards of Kendal load up for one of more than ten removal trips from Derwent Isle
REMOVAL company Richards of Kendal has carried out one of its most unusual house moving jobs - with the help of a boat.
The company was called on to relocate a couple’s possessions from an 18th Century mansion on Derwent Isle, Derwentwater.
The complex move, which took a whole day, involved more than ten 15-minute round trips on the National Trust property’s motorised dinghy to ferry items to the main shore. They were then taken by road to Dorset.
