A DIGITAL marketing and PR agency has been named among the top 50 in the North.

Lancaster-based Fat Media ranked 20th in a 50-strong list of the region's best digital agencies in 2014.

Fat Media has a head office in Lancaster and offices in London and Barrow - employing 65 specialists across an array of digital, marketing and technical disciplines.

The ranking comes from Prolific North, who released the list earlier this month.

Prolific North are a respected publisher of news about companies working within the creative and media industry in the north.

The list was compiled using information at Companies House alongside supplementary facts provided by each of the 140 agencies involved.

It aims to offer a definitive guide to agencies that are making waves with projects for key national and international clients.

Last year was an incredibly successful year for Fat Media, said the agency.

Up against the best agencies London has to offer, Fat Media won a pitch to become lead digital agency for Warburtons.

They also delivered their first website for Glaxo SmithKline and won pan-European work with Mitsubishi Pharmaceuticals.

In the North West, the company started working with The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and g with iconic names such as St Helen’s Rugby League, Blackpool Winter Gardens and Lakeland.
