A NEW scheme developed by St Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston is helping people ‘re-connect’ with the community.
The service, ‘Hospice Neighbours’, has quickly developed to serve the town and South Lakeland area after volunteer recruitment started in September and there are now 14 trained hospice neighbours.
If you know of someone who wishes to volunteer as a hospice neighbour or you know of someone living with a life-shortening condition that could benefit from having a hospice neighbour contact Anne Atkinson at neighbours@stmaryshospice.org.uk
