A VINTAGE bus owned by Cumbria Classic Coaches will be seen by around ten million people tomorrow when it takes on a 'starring role' in the popular BBC drama Call The Midwife.
The 1946 Leyland Tiger - an ex-Preston Corporation single decker - was transformed to a 'tatty' old coach for the medical drama.
In tomorrow evening's episode, the bus - nicknamed Rosie - is featured taking a group of youngsters on an outing.
The bus was taken down to the Longcross Studios in London where the sequence was filmed.
The programme will be broadcast on BBC 1 at 8pm.
