KENDAL estate agency Scott Bainbridge will hold an open afternoon aimed at advising first time home buyers.
The event will be held at the Scott Bainbridge offices in Market Place on Saturday afternoon (March 1).
It will be attended by Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron and feature advice from independent mortgage consultant David Elliott, of the Lakeland Mortgage Centre.
Scott Bainbrdige principal, Iain Bainbridge, said: “Owning your first home can be a major step for young people and we want to be able to help people through the process of purchasing their first property.
"The high ratio of house prices to average incomes in the area presents first time buyers with great issues. While some may be able to obtain assistance from family many struggle to get their first foot on the property ladder."
