SPRING is just around the corner and The National Garden Scheme’s latest guide is now out.
The Yellow Book should surely be every green fingered enthusiast’s best friend, listing all 66 of Cumbria’s gardens that will be opening their doors to the public this year.
With 10 new gardens to the collection, there is a fantastically diverse array of listed places to visit from now right through till October.
These range from modest cottage gardens to the more expansive, grand garden locations such as at Askham Hall, near Penrith.
The lists are accompanied by all the handy who, when, where and how-to-get-there information so there really is no excuse for missing out.
The Yellow Book is packed full of information, maps, festival dates and with listings of more than 3,800 gardens across England and Wales which will open this year to raise money for charity.
