The passengers were conducted to their seats by a dancing troupe of air hostesses and we were then entertained by the antics of the baggage handlers, airport security and wing walkers.

The judges commended Rachael Beatty for her solo performance of ‘Leaving on a Jet Plane’ and George Mitchinson for his comedy performance as a security guard.

Crook YFC were placed second with ‘Zoo’, where roles were reversed and the monkeys were observing the antics of the humans . Tom Redmayne was awarded the best actor trophy and was particularly commended for his professionalism in keeping in character throughout the play.

In 3rd place, Kent Estuary YFC transported the audience to Wigglesworth Working Men’s Club Annual Talent Show with hosts Trevor the bingo caller and Bob the bin man . The packed audience especially enjoyed the male synchronised swimming team and Wigglesworth Girl guides.

The best actress award was given to Emily Jenkinson for her portrayal of a hard of hearing Women’s Institute member in Drigg’s hilarious portrayal of a WI meeting entitled ‘The Wild Indians’. The judges also praised Makayla Brash for her beautiful singing.
