A WOMAN had to be freed from her car after it was in collision with another vehicle on the outskirts of Kendal.

Firefighters, police and paramedics all attended the incident which occurred shortly before 12.20pm yesterday, on the A65..

The incident involved two cars on a stretch of road between Barrows Green and Crooklands.

Fire crews from Kendal and Milnthorpe attended and cut the roof from a Volkswagen Golf which the woman was driving.

She was removed from the car on a spinal board and taken into the care of paramedics.
