CUMBRIA Museum Consortium is hosting a ‘thought provoking’ and ‘challenging conference’ on the power of partnership.

At the Rheged Centre, Penrith, on March 20, the discussion will explore the power of connection and the challenge of collaboration within the cultural sector.

The conference will be chaired by Maurice Davies from the Museum Consultancy, a leading advisor to, and commentator on, museums and galleries.

Hilary Wade from the Cumbria Museum Consortium, said: “We are delighted to host this conference in Cumbria and we are excited to hear some interesting examples of partnership working at a local, national and international level, as well as share our own experiences and challenges. We hope this event will lead to the development of many more successful partnerships which will bring huge benefits to museums and their audiences”.

The one day conference is free for museum professionals and stakeholders and around 150 delegates are expected to attend.
