COUNCILLORS have approved a new three-year plan setting out Cumbria County Council’s local priorities, challenges and achievements in Eden.
The authority's local committee for Eden today endorsed the 2014-17 Eden area plan - a document highlighting how the council will work with communities in the district to deliver high-quality services in the face of unprecedented budget pressures.
Last month, the county council agreed its council plan which sets out the priorities the authority will focus on over the next three years, and the Eden area plan describes how these priorities will be met locally. The document sets out that the focus in Eden for 2014-17 will be:
- Access to services
- Developing strong and resilient communities.
- Supporting a better quality of jobs in the area.
