POLICE are re-appealing for information about a robbery at the Toffee Shop in Penrith.

On January 21, at 4:55pm, police were called to the shop after a man threatened staff with a knife.

The man involved was described as wearing a scruffy grey fleecy hoodie, with grey tracksuit bottoms.

He was aged between 40 and 50 years, of average build and with facial stubble.

Cumbria Police have re-released the image of a man who they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

DC Richard Massey said: “We are appealing to the community to let us know if they have any information about this incident to come forward and speak to us.

"The staff at the shop went through a frightening ordeal.

“We appeal for anyone who recognises the man in the picture to get in touch.

"No matter how small the details are, it could all help to bring the person responsible for frightening the staff to justice.”

Anyone who recognises the man, or has any information about the incident, is asked to call Cumbria Police on 101 and speak to PC Richard Massey at Carlisle CID.
