Kendal College Performing Arts students are staging the moving drama The Accrington Pals.

It is a tale based around men from the East Lancashire mill town who enrolled in the army as a group of friends – the Pals regiment – in the early days of the First World War and marched off together to tragedy, leaving their grieving womenfolk behind.

Performances are on Thursday and Friday (March 13 and 14), at 7.30pm, at The Box Theatre.
