A595 head on car crash leaves man in critical condition
AN ELDERLY man is in critical condition after a serious head on car crash.
Believed to be in his 70s, the man was air lifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The two car collision happened on the A595 at Egremont at 9.35am.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called out and the aircrew doctor and paramedic assessed, treated and anesthetised the casualty, from Gosforth, before flying him to the Royal Preston Hospital.
