American pianist Jonathan Bliss set to dazzle in Lakeland Sinfonia concert

ROYAL Northern Sinfonia performs the last of its three concerts in the acclaimed Lakeland Sinfonia Concert Society series on Saturday (March 22, 7.30pm) under the baton of Joshua Weilerstein with American pianist Jonathan Bliss as soloist.

The Lakes Leisure Kendal Westmorland Hall concert includes Ligeti's Concert Romanesc, written in 1951 and based on Romanian folk tunes and rhythms, Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, a work that is both dazzlingly virtuosic and sublimely lyrical, and Mendelssohn's 3rd Symphony, the Scottish.

For tickets telephone 01539-722533.
