A FATHER-of-five has been disqualified from driving for four years after being caught more than two-times over the limit.
Stephen James Kenwright, of Greengate, Kendal, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle when above the legal alcohol limit at Kendal Magistrates’ on March 12.
The court heard how Kenwright, who admitted to drinking half a bottle of whisky before getting in his Vauxhall Zafria, was stopped by police on Burton Road, Kendal, on the evening of February 20.
A breathalyser test showed him to have 115 microgrammes of alcohol in his system.
The 49-year-old was fined £85, ordered to pay £60 in victim surcharge and was given a 12 months community order. He was also ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work.
