A GROUP of four Kendal College filmmakers have created a thought provoking video centered on Morecambe Bay.
Danny Thornton, Natasha Bacon, Harry Whitehead and Ben Greene are in the top 10 of a competition run by MARLISCO (Marine Litter in Europe Seas: Social Awareness and CO-Responsibility) about the need to reduce marine pollution.
The team have been invited to Plymouth in April to the awards ceremony, where they will find out which video has won the competition.
If they win, their video, named ‘Act Now’ will be taken to the European phase of the competition in Germany to represent the UK.
The students are studying the first year of a two year diploma in Film Production but their film is entirely extra-curricular work.
“They are strong students, and their success in this competition so far is testament to their ambition and ability,” said course leader Simon Sylvester.
The competition is run on a ‘like’ basis on YouTube.
