A FELL walker was airlifted to hospital after injuring her ankle on Greenup Edge.
The 66-year-old woman was helped by Keswick Mountain Rescue Team members on Saturday (March 15).
The North West Air Ambulance were also on hand at the same time, and they and the rescue team carried the casualty to the aircraft.
She was then flown to Furness General Hospital for further treatment.
The 22 man rescue took almost three and a half hours.
