POLICE have released an Evofit of a man who allegedly raped a student as she walked home.

The 23-year-old woman was walking home from a night out in the early hours of Monday March 3 when she asked a man for directions.

“Specifically I’m still keen to hear from anybody that may have witnessed someone acting suspiciously in the Bridge Road or Ashton Road area of Lancaster between the hours of midnight and 2:30am on Monday March 3.

“I would ask people to take a close look at this Evofit and if anybody recognises the man or has any information at all that they think could assist the investigation please contact us.

“Even the smallest piece of information could be crucial so we would urge anyone to call 101 if they have any information.”
