ICY weather caused problems on the region's roads earlier this morning.
Traffic was queuing between J34 (Lancaster) and J35 (Carnforth) on the M6 Northbound following an earlier three car smash. All lanes have since re-opened.
Between J35 and J36 (Kendal), a car span and hit the central reservation causing damage to the barrier.
And in north Cumbria two lanes were shut due to a multi-vehicle accident, spillage of diesel and recovery work on M6 Southbound between J45 (Gretna) and J44 (Carlisle North).
Cumbria Police tweeted at 9.30am: "Heavy and intermittent snow falling on M6 and elsewhere in Cumbria . Please take care. Potential for roads to be affected anywhere."
