THE Met Office has issued a yellow warning of ice for tonight into tomorrow morning.
Issued at 11.30am, the warning will run from 9pm until 9am.
The warning reads: "Showers of rain and sleet, with some falling as snow over higher routes, will continue to wet surfaces during Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
"Clear spells between showers are then expected to lead to a frost and icy patches forming locally.
"The showers are expected to fall as snow over the highest routes which could bring temporary accumulations of 1 to 4cm, particularly for northern parts in the central and northern Highlands."
