Staff chase alleged Ulverston shoplifter, say police

STAFF gave chase to a shoplifter after she allegedly stole clothes from an Ulverston store.
Police said the incident happened at the Factory Shop yesterday (Friday) afternoon.
Staff chased the alleged shoplifter, described as in her 40s, 5'5" tall with purple/pink hair and wearing a beret, said police.
Police said she evaded them in the indoor market.
The spokesperson continued: "She was carrying a number of shopping 'bags for life' and wearing khaki/tan pants and a grey blouse and knee high brown boots."
