A MAN was airlifted to hospital after suffering a heart attack in Windermere at the weekend.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service were called to assist after paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service diagnosed the man, from Cheshire, at the scene.
The 51-year-old was flown to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle where his condition was described as stable on arrival.
The incident occurred at 2.50pm on Saturday.
