A WINDERMERE businessman is launching a new initiative to bring estate agent boards into the 21st Century.

Richard Bell is planning to launch the ‘Quick-look Network’ next month.

The concept involves adding a unique, easy to remember quick-look link and code to each board which leads to a mobile website for that particular property.

It will enable house-hunters to have a ‘quick look’ and easily access information when out and about.

The individual sites will be light-weight and fast loading; including up to date photos, property details and pricing.

They will also feature social sharing options, tap to call tap to email functionality, maps and more.

Mr Bell said: “Estate agents boards today look no different to how they looked 20 years ago, whereas technology has moved on so much.

“This is about making the most of the boards in combination with the huge growth in smartphones and seems to be the logical step forward.

“People want everything quickly nowadays, so the concept of a direct link to that specific property’s site rather than having to carry out a search on their device will lead to a lot more visits to the sites, and more leads for the agents.”

Mr Bell added that there will be ‘heavily reduced launch prices’ for local estate agents before expanding nationally.
