DRIVERS using the northbound M6 in Cumbria are being advised that a section will be closed next week for repairs.

Work on a bridge which carries the M6 over the River Lune, at Roundthwaite, between Junction 37 at Kendal and Junction 38 at Tebay, will take place overnight, between 8pm and 6am on Monday and Tuesday.

The northbound M6 will be closed between Junction 36, at Kirkby Lonsdale, and Junction 38.

A diversion from Junction 36 will take traffic back onto the M6 at Junction 39, Shap, using the A590, A591 and A6.
