AN elderly man has been rescued off a Lake District crag after feeling ‘faint’ while on a walk with his son.
At 1pm today (March 27) Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team were called by police to help a 84-year-old man who was feeling unwell while walking in the Auterstone Crag area above Ullswater.
Great North Ambulance attended the scene and the man from North Wales was stretchered off the fell.
He was taken to Cumberland Infirmary by air ambulance.
Seven members of the Patterdale team and three from Penrith Mountain Rescue were involved in the two-hour call-out.
