A public health boss is urging people to take advantage of the lighter evenings which started with the advent of British Summer Time this week to banish the winter blues.
Dr Rebecca Wagstaff, Cumbria County Council's acting director of public health, said that studies had shown that fresh air and exercise had big benefits for both physical and mental health.
