TWO helicopters assisted in the rescue of an injured walker from a Lake District mountain.

Wasdale Mountain Rescue were called out at around 4pm on Saturday when the man fell on Great Gable.

The 67-year-old from Derby suffered an ‘incapacitating knee injury’ in the fall.
