THE mighty BBC Philharmonic wraps up the 39th Lakeland Sinfonia Concert Society series on Saturday, April 12 (7.30pm) in terrific style sharing Kendal’s Westmorland Hall stage with rising star violinist Elena Urioste. The outstanding American violinist was recently selected as a BBC New Generation Artist and has been hailed by critics and audiences alike for her lush tone, the nuanced lyricism of her playing, and her commanding stage presence. Conducted by Richard Farnes, the concert features Brahms' 3rd Symphony, Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol and Beethoven's Violin Concerto.
